Carbon dioxide emissions haven’t gone down much over the whole of Europe even though vast amounts of money have been spent on solar power farms and wind farms on the North Sea. This is because of a combination of factors having to do with the expenditures that built those farms and how long it will take for nations to pay them off.

Many power companies who invested in wind or solar power saw their investors dry up because they over-invested in the markets. This left them closed up with no alternative but for power companies to go back to fossil fuels to get all of their energy needs met.

This is simply a case of companies and countries bungling the money they spent on trying to make Europe cleaner. CO2 emissions are not down because the investments were not made with any wisdom Hopefully, time will make these investments more viable.
